Forgot to mention...

Will there be an ability soon that the autoleveller will remember the probed points? i.e. you probe the board, make the cut and say it's not quite deep enough or it's grazing the surface but not cutting but because you've made the cuts can no longer probe and therefore cannot re-create the cut and t...

autoleveller and tablet compatability

Hi there

I've noticed whilst using the site on smaller screens that the menu on the left.

It appears as the 3 lines, but when the menu appears, its a small box up the top.

Hard to describe so best bet is to just try it.

Re: Not getting any adjustment?

Well, I've just had a look at Cambam. Unless you change the post processor, the 'default' setting is used. So, I changed the default setting for 'convert to lines' and voila! I overlaid the original and converted to line g-code outputs in cambam and immediately saw the difference, can hardly tell th...

Re: Hello

Hi there, Nigel here from Lowestoft! Regarding machines and spindles? My machine is a purpose built, custom designed machine that I made for a college project. Made out of 3 6mm MDF laminates for total 18mm thickness and laser cut parts. It's not particularly sturdy and mimics the shape of a mantis ...

Re: Not getting any adjustment?

Is that so? So simply put, autoleveller doesn't account for round pads? And that any future designs I create should have square or octagonal pads? Unfortunately, the program I used, CamBam for outputting my files doesn't allow for arcs to be broken down and simply outputs them as is and I haven't se...

Re: Not getting any adjustment?

No problem, I understand that it isn't easy, especially considering that you are offering the software for free. I have however been a little unfaithful and have found this: http://marcuswolschon.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/java-program-to-probe-z-for-pcb-milling.html Very similar little program, much mo...

Re: Not getting any adjustment?

Well, I've managed to get my Linux machine up and running again now, so, perhaps I'll give it another try but I'm not hopeful.

Re: Not getting any adjustment?

Smashing, give me a heads up once you've got some news. It's the first board I've tried to machine in ages so it's frustrating! I've always wondered why previous boards didn't come out 100% as expected, especially larger simpler boards. I've just ruined my CNC Computer anyway, tried upgrading from U...

Re: Not getting any adjustment?

ALTop.Part1 [Profile1].nc Top.Part1 [Profile1].nc Attached are the 2 files, original and the AL file. You might want to add the NGC extension also because AL outputs NGC so that'd be helpful also I don't know how the interpolation works, but it made no effort at all to cut the board at the very low...

Re: Not getting any adjustment?

Just had another go and getting really frustrated with it now. On the Y axis, the autoleveller only makes adjustments between the front and rear probe areas but not in the middle hence why it cut at the front and back of the board, but on the X axis it does make adjustments. This is Y axis specific ...
