Exception when trying to oepn directory

OS: MacOS
Steps to repro:

1. Browse for a file on a external drive.
2. Open the file.
3. Unmount the external drive.
4. Try to browse for a new file.

Expected result: Opens for example user home directory as the unmounted drive is no longer valid.
Actual result: Throws an exception as it tries to open an invalid directory.

Sorry for the late reply, been bombarded with email queries lately so been somewhat distracted.

Thankyou for the details, I will log this issue and fix when possible.

Hey there. Any update on the issue? It's still present in the latest version. Currently it renders the app useless for me as I can't open anything as it crashes when trying to open the browse dialog :/

A possible workaround / fix...

I presume you are using AutolevellerAE v0.8.2?
There should be a file "settings.xml" in your user home folder/.AE
You should see an entry there "defaultDir"... delete that entire line and AE should recreate it with your base user.home folder next time you restart AE.
You should be able to delete the "settings.xml" file also.

I do not have a Mac to test on but it should work. Let me know if not.
