Probe is already tripped when starting G38.2 or G38.3 move?

Post by spinnaker »

I am running g-code produced by the demo version of autoleveller for the first time. I am running it on linuxcnc.

I touch the Z axis off about 10mm above the board as per the instructions on this site. When I run the code, the Z axis moves down and the bit makes contact with the board and stops. I then get the error "Probe is already tripped when starting G38.2 or G38.3 move".

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I know the probe is working because I can see a response on the HAL meter plus the gcode would not stop if it is not working.

I seem to remember that happening to me once or twice, and I just put it down to some quirk of LinuxCNC.

Running the code again from the start seemed to clear the problems for me at least.

Same here. I ran it again (after exiting Linuxcnc) and it just ran.
