No probs, As you say you can try to see if the USB CNC software can load the new code if you wanted.

I was thinking of getting my own Mk1 board a few years ago, and like you I thought that I would be able to use the AutoLevelling feature with the board.

Another controller you might consider is tinyg: https://www.synthetos.com/what-is-tinyg-and-why/. I dont know much about it myself other than its a controller that can be sent the GCode directly, so no need for external software. I dont even know if there is an probe input pin but it might be worth a look if you didnt know about it.

Ok, so I've just now tried it.

There were 2 lines to change which I did. Now it's spitting out

"Error in GCode!
Parameter out of range (15)
Line:29 - #5161=#5422"

Sorry, yes, 2 lines.

#5422 holds the current position of the Z axis, at least in linuxCNC. So, it is assigning Z to #5161. What it seems to be saying is that #5422 is not supported in USB CNC. I will have to check when I can if thats true or whether there is an alternative in USB CNC.

Yeah,I've had a quick search but can't seem to find anything about it. The only documentation is the manual for it which doesn't mention anything about variables.

I don't want to register on the forums and ask either because what I've got is a chinese model not realising at the time of purchase that it was a counterfeit version.

Hey Booski,

I'm wondering if you ever got this to work. I think I have the same control board, software, and connection method as you (USB). I'm gonna try out the member version of the software, but if that doesn't work, the options don't seem too attractive:
- Get a UC100 so I can use MACH3. Costs $200 and it SHOULD work because when the UC100 is used, it will become the interpreter of commands right? I don't really know how my controller switches between USB and Parallel.
- Get a new chinese USB board that uses the RnRMotion plug-in, 3 TB6600 units, and rearrange my control box. This would take time, but the cheapest at $120. The problem is that I don't know if it would even work because the unit may lack the G31 command.
- Get a PlanetCNC Mk3/4, 3 TB6600 units, and rearrange my control box so everything fits. The most expensive and takes time, but should work because CNC USB does warping if you have a mk2 or higher. This would cost around $300-$400
