Thanks for the info, I was going to suggest editing the registry myself but it is not something you want to do often so would only be a temporary fix.

Hopefully the next release of AutolevellerAE should fix things. If not I will try something else.

Just catching up on lots of emails etc. but the update should be soon.

Sorry for the late reply other stuff keeps getting in my way. I've got some good news, I've found out what is causing the problem, When I first kept trying it I could not get to the bottom of it never failed, Only this morning I come to start a new job and found that it would not open a file like last time went into regedit and I noticed that the last location of the default directory was H:// (this was my USB stick). I deleted this reg part opened AL and it opened files again. So I plugged in my USB stick copied a file onto it and created AL code, removed USB stick closed it off, opened AL and same issue would not open file again, plugged in USB stick and it opens files again.
So it was my mistake I was using my USB stick to move files onto my CNC machine and had to create new code and opened it of my USB stick and saved it. Sorry for the confusion caused and time wasted looking into this issue, But at least I know what caused my issue

Fantastic. Thanks for letting us know.
Maybe at some point, we could show the location its searching in so the issue would be easier to find.

Just a thought.
