Hi Art,
It seems to me that it is, in stead of the electrical probing with Autoleveler, now a depth-probing with an electro-mechanical "microswitch" e.g.:

Re: One (1) non electrical probe ... ?
Hi James,
Autoleveller is GREAT !!!
(But probably this is old news ...) ;)
I first made a "cut" of 0.05 mm depthness and **even then**
all traces of the whole PCB were already visible on the copper.
End result:

Re: One (1) non electrical probe ... ?
James,
Thanks !
Will try this this weekend.
Self-edditing is no problem of course.
Will report back !

One (1) non electrical probe ... ?
James,
A *NOT* electrical probing ... question please:
Normal probing procedure goes well and clear.
Milling thereafter no problem.
///
Producing extra probe file clear.
Integrating it into the produced AL... .nc file clear.
///
Any further questions....? Yes please....:-).

Re: Probelog question
James,
Many thanks fore the patient explanation.
I was suffering form the IKIA-syndrome...
.
(IKIA = I know it all from before and earlier versions....).
When starting with new software you do study the manuals, but I learned that to do -also- with upgrades.

Re: Probelog question
And last (may be ...:-) question:
3. As far as I can see: the probelog file has NO extension.
When I want to open it (e.g. with Notepad) WinXP always asks me which editor I want to use.
I choose Notepad every time, but .. (I presume because the file has no extension, e.g. txt) Windows doesn't give ...

Probelog question
Hi James, All,
Probelog question please.
1. When the probing is ready, I'm asked to overwrite the old probelog file, which I will do of course.
Are the data this file in the milling process, which follow hereafter, still used during the processing -or- is is only for documentation/quality control ...

Repeating the pattern with the same probing
Hi James, All,
A miller of PCB's should be prudent...:-).
So after probing, I have the (bad .. ?) habit of trying to mill the PCB pattern in first instance slightly to high/in the air, by setting the Z=0 height slightly to high.
After milling this air process I want to go deeper by adjusting the ...
