Losing Y position

Post by ansenseale »

My machine seems to lose about 0.36 inches after auto leveling runs. That is, I zero out the X & Y, begin the auto leveled G-code, it measures the material and when it goes to zero, that zero has changed from my original, but only in the Y.

I am levelling only a portion of my material because I am using only a small piece of a 4' x 8' sheet. (Acrylic) Leveling the whole thing would take forever.

Why would the code reset the zero, and only in the Y axis?

Only just seen this post. It was hiding at the bottom. I need a bigger screen :)

Are you sure AL is the cause? To test I would mark the home position and manually enter a bunch of MDI G0 commands ending with a return to X0 Y0 and see if there is any change.
