LinuxCNC Parameter persistence, take 2

Post by booski »

I've been playing with LinuxCNC today on a new machine.

I think I've got an old version using the 5161# numbers, but either way I just tried to make a board and it didn't cut quite deep enough so I want to go back over it without having to probe.

Think of it as a test of whether the variables are stored.

So I skipped the probe code and went straight down to the code where cambam started and selected run from here. Instead of actually cutting the board, it just continued from the same height as to where it stopped which was about 10mm above the board and started cutting without making any adjustments to the Z height.

So it would seem that the values were lost as soon as I clicked 'run from here'

So now, I have to re-do the board at a greater depth.
